Thrift store score!

So let's get right back into it! I recently picked up these adorable vintage trivets at an antique shop, not a thrift store. So I guess that's kind of cheating. BUT they were only $1.00 each, so that's thrift store price!

They are a bit under 5" across and I think they are so cute.

This next thing I really did get at the thrift store. It's big...maybe about 16 inches wide and around 10 inches tall.

If you've been following this blog for a while, you know that I like  tiny little compartments liked this. When you open the front two doors, there are more drawers inside.

It's meant for jewelry, of course, so the drawers are lined with a blue velvety material and one of them is a drawer for rings. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this yet, or if I'm going to paint it. But it was only $4.00, and I couldn't pass it up!

Right now I'm just k eeping it under my nightstand. I actually kind of like it there. And I kind of like it that it's a bit raggedy and worn. Should I paint it?

I'm happy to be back and hope you guys are still with me! I've reopened the shop, and have been listing things I already have in stock. Here's to getting back to business!

  5. I would be totally inclined to paint this, but I like it under your night stand though too... I'm thinking maybe mustard yellow. Or turquoise! But distressed and rustic still though. :)
