Well, it's not the most amazing score, but they were selling these lone drawers for $1.00 each...you know the kind of drawers that go in those cheap jewelry boxes? I figured for $2.00 I would try another display idea:
I think it was a success! It totally works as part of a cute and simple table display. I'm not sure about the color yet..I may paint a different color over this bright aqua and then sand the edges to reveal just a tad of the aqua. I haven't painted the other drawer yet..so many possibilities! I love the olive green velvety material in the drawers, too.Should I leave this one aqua or paint over it? How about for the other drawer?!

ReplyDeletethose brass handles would look awesome against a shabby-chic coat of paint. like a light tan with the turquoise peaking through. the second one could be the same, but with red or yellow or olive underneath instead of turquoise. they'd make such a fab combo!

ReplyDeleteI think the aqua is cute! I also think it would look pretty as distressed paint underneath another color... I know, not much help! However, I do think that painting the drawers the same color would reduce that over-stimulation thing when people are checking out your wares. How fun!

ReplyDeleteI love the color aqua, but I don't think it works with the brass handles. You could consider spraypainting the handles white - depends on the look you're going for.
