I'll be jealous of the winner- AWESOME giveaway!

Last year I was lucky enough to receive the above drawing of my daughter from the insanely talented Kelley of drawworm. It makes me so happy every time I look at it. She does amazing work!

Kelley has graciously offered to create one 9x12 portrait for one of my readers!! This would make a great Mother's Day gift, don't you think? All you have to do is leave a comment below saying who you'd want Kelley to draw. Oh, and just for fun, she'd love to know if you'd rather be a dog or a cat. I wonder if my readers are mostly cat people or dog people! :D Leave it in the comments!

For an extra entry, tweet, blog or facebook this giveaway and let me know you did so!

I will draw the winning name at 7:30am central time on Wednesday, April 6th.

Here are some more gorgeous examples of Kelley's work:

  5. Ah, so cute! Makes me feel nostalgic.
I would probably have a portrait of myself with the number one person in my life - my boyfriend. We rarely take pictures together, and when we do they usually don't turn out as well as I hope. It's be nice to have something like that to look back at in a few years or so.

Oh, and I'd be a cat for sure.

  6. If I won I'd let my husband choose who he'd like a drawing of. He doesn't talk much about how he feels but those currents run deep.
He has a new baby brother born in Vienna he's not met yet, he might like a portrait of baby George drawn. Maybe of our beloved wee hedgehog that passed away. Maybe one of his smelly old cat Mr Tilly.
As you can tell I'm not a cat lover although, I would rather be a cat than a dog. Cats do their own thang! Esp. Mr Tilly!

And I am a Leo so I have always had a catty side to me, although I am alergic to them lol... but I am more of dog person, so I would have to say dog.. just because they are fun and fluffy to cuddle with.

  26. I would love to have Kelley draw a photograph I have of my oldest daughter at 3.5 years holding her newborn sister. It is exactly what I think of when i think the word love. You'd have to see the picture to understand.

I would rather be a cat because they are so flexible and they live life on their own terms. The only thing that gives me pause is that whole licking their butts thing. Ewwww.

  30. I would so love one of these! Amazing work. I would want one of my two sisters and I for a wonderful mothers day gift. We are all moved out and this might help with the empty nest syndrome she has been feeling lately!

Oh, and I would so be a cat! My cats have it so easy. They both sleep in luxury in my apartments picture window..all day until I get home from work.

  31. Amy - you won't believe this one! I read the sentence asking who we'd like to have drawn and of course immediately I thought of Bonehead. Then the next sentence was about being a dog or a cat!!! OMG!!
Lisa (I'm still too lazy to sign up for real!)

P.S. I don't have to tell you whether I'd want to be a dog or a cat - you already know!

  32. I'm already half cat as it is according to my husband! I love to sleep in the garden in the sun on a big fat cushion (which my real cat Mickey finds very anoying since this is HIS spot!) I'm curious and I like doing my own thing.....The picture I would like would be of my three musketiers otherwise none as my sons!

  35. Holy wha- Kelley is so talented! I don't draw, but I know it's insanely hard to get faces to look just like the real person. Her faces look so lifelike. Fantastic! I would love to have a portrait of my son to hang in our home.

  36. These are gorgeous! I wish I could have both my girls drawn, but I guess I would have to give the oldest dibbs this time since she won't be a little girl much longer! And I would be a dog if I could be an inside dog with a big backyard to play in on sunny days!

  39. What incredible drawings! I'd love one of my two daughters. They both love cats, and if I could choose, I'd be a cat: Independent yet soft, and at 6am on a cold winter's morning, I could just open one eye, stretch, and go back to sleep....aaahhhh!
Your blog is lovely, thanks for sharing!
