Five things I can't live without...

Hey guys! I'm guest blogging today over at AcuteDesigns. I'd love if you'd stop by and say hello! I've made a list of five things I can't live without. These are silly things- nothing serious!

I can live without the dress pictured above, but I can't tell you how much I want it! From here.

I've been meaning to post this for a long time now!

I had some crazy luck a while back and won a few giveaways. Take a look at these beauties!

I won this adorable crocheted brooch from the beautiful Carolina at aCatsNest:

She also included these really cute notecards depicting one of her drawings:

Check our her drawing shop here and her blog here.

This adorable little zippered pouch came from the sweet Lisa at Zibagz. I've been using it for my business cards:

It looks like her shop is on vacation, but mark it for later. Check out her blog here.

Last but not least, look at this amaaaaazing grouping of destash sewing goodies!

It all came from the wonderful Maureen at Maureen Cracknell Handmade. Her shop seems to be on vacation, too, but make sure to mark it for later. She makes the most adorable things! This prize even came with some gorgeous fabric from Fresh-Squeezed Fabrics:

Talk about giveaway heaven! Thank you so much to all of these wonderful shops. I was and still am so very grateful for your kindness!

A surprise gift...

A few months ago, I realllly wanted this original oil painting from Sharon Schock on Etsy. I love ruins and cemeteries and it depicts a place in England, which made it even better.

Of course, I waited too long to buy it and it sold. I was so upset! This morning, I found out that it sold because a very special someone bought it for me. **tears** It's really beautiful, and it was such a nice surprise (thank you, someone)...

I snapped these silly photos of Julia this morning:

One of her Christmas presents was this drinking straw shaped like a pair of glasses that wraps around your head.

She had a lot of fun with it. Ok, ok, I tried it, too. lol

Merry Christmas, everyone!

I say she turned out pretty cute!

I was up until almost 2 a.m. last night putting the finishing touches on this Coraline "little me" doll. I made it for my little sister, Sage, and she got it tonight. She loved it!

It took way longer to make than it should have, but it was totally worth it. :)
I hope all of you are having a wonderful holiday weekend!

pretty neat concept...

This is a bookshelf and bookmark in one! I think a cluster of these on a wall would make for an interesting display. I know I'd need a few right next to my bed, as I'm always in the middle of at least three books (though lately I've had absolutely no time to read!).

How cool is this?!

It's typewriter art! Keira Rathbone uses typewriters instead of brushes or pencils. I think this is amazing!

See more here.

P.S. I slipped on some ice in a parking lot a few days ago and took an awful spill. I'm sitting here with a broken tailbone and don't look forward to standing up when I'm done posting this. OUCH doesn't even begin to describe it!!

Another thing I must have...

I am ALWAYS forgetting important things I have to mail when I leave the house each morning. I absolutely love this tiny magnetic bar/shelf you can put right on your fridge to hold important envelopes. My fridge is right next to my back door, so I need this!

It also comes in orange. :)

From here. I bought the green one! :)

I do believe I must have this mug.

How absolutely perfect is this mug?! It comes with a tea strainer that fits right inside, and the cutest mushroom cap lid for keeping your tea piping hot.

I absolutely love this! From here.

I've been quiet... and my latest antique score!

I apologize for my silence! I now have 25 made-to-order and custom cuffs to finish and am quite buried in fabric and thread! I thought I'd show you my latest lunch break find. It wasn't exactly a thrift store price, but it wasn't at all expensive. Take a look (click pics to zoom)!

The inside of the album is dated December 25th, 1913. I love this creepy fellow who was nestled right in the front cover. This tintype is really big- it's at least 8 or 9 inches tall.

There are a few pages of people behind the counter in a restaurant.

And look at these gorgeous sisters!

I've always loved antique photos of houses, so I was really happy this one was included:

I love these two with the pipes!:

And what a sweet little baby- his name is Herman!:

Oh, it's a winter wonderland outside today. I was taking a photo of my rocks and you can see the white outside.

I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!
