Thrift store score.

I got this old rice canister at the thrift store on my lunch break yesterday. I don't claim to be an expert on pottery, so I don't know how old this is. It's slightly crazed and I love the kind of flow blue-esque blurry edges of the design. I say it's a score, whether it's worth something or not! :D

P.S. For anyone who liked my vintage owls from the other day, I found another pair being sold here.

  4. Mom, when I saw it there was this lady looking at it, too. I was hoping she wouldn't pick it up and then she reached for it- but then she ended up picking up some hideous thing that was right next to it. I grabbed it immediately- it was $4.00.

  8. I love this! Growing up we always kept our humongous quantities of rice in a plastic bin. But this is lovely! I'd definitely use it at my house today :)

  9. Doesn't it just crack you up when you see someone admiring the FIND and reach for it, only to grab a hideous piece of dollar store made in China garbage!!!! Happens all the time! Btw, I got a really nice vintage blanket! It's all 50's ish perfection!! $3.99!

  10. Hmm ... never thought of storing rice in a canister like this! We eat rice at least 2-3 times per week and it's kind of a drag pulling the bag out every time - Must get a cute rice vessel!
