Show me your mug.

My friend Jody over at the little prints does this fun thing on her blog where she shows a great mug from her collection on Mondays. Mug Monday! Today I thought I'd show one from my collection. I've had it for a few years and actually I've never used it for beverages! I was never sure if it was actually a mug because of the double handles and pot-like shape, and so far I've used it to hold bookmarks on my bookshelf. Anyway, it's so pretty and I love all the crazing!

**I hope you're as easily amused by vintage mugs as I am. :)

  1. I used to have one that was very similar shape and with the two handles, but it was a childs drinking cup with a molded face of the moon on the front.
I have no clue what happened to it after moving so many times, but your post reminded me of it.

  2. I would think this one was a child's cup, too, only that it's pretty large...

  3. What a cute idea for a post! That mug is so unique with the two handles, and I love the sweet print.

A few months back I used mugs as the subject for a Favorites Friday post, kinda like an etsy treasury. And oh my, the handmade mugs on etsy are just unbelievable!

I normally use my Fiestaware because of the fun colors, but the thick baked clay kind will only do for an evening cup of hot chocolate!

  4. I wonder if it once had a lid and was a sugar bowl. It sure is cute!

  7. What a wonderful mug! I would probably use it as a pencil holder too if I had one like this (I'm glad to see I'm not the only one to blog about mugs, I made a blog post about my criterias to chose the ideal one a while ago :))

  8. that's so pretty. I love the little flowers. I would guess it might have been a sugar bowl possibly with a lid on it at one point
