To all my blog friends...

Here I am somewhere around the mid-80s at a family holiday party. Yep, I'm at the kids' table. Remember the kids' table? And I just KNOW you couldn't wait for the day you were old enough to move up to table with all the adults. Am I right?! Of course I am. :)

Sending warm holiday wishes to each and every one of you. xoxo

**Apologies to my brother and cousin for sharing this ridiculous photo with the world.

  2. At our family gatherings we have something we just simply call "the table", it is the safe haven of the party for those people who are actually sane and looking for refuge. Were pretty picky about who we allow at "the Table'' because were a pretty tight knit group...

My (extended) family is crazy and complicated and horrifying all at once, if it weren't for "the table" I dont know that my cousins and I would have ever survived.

  9. Ah yes, the kids table! We still have a "kids table" but now it's full of the kids as grown ups in their 20s and 30s lol. Love looking back at old photos from the 80s though. Always a hoot! Thanks for sharing and Merry Christmas!

  15. Aww such a cute picture!
Yes, my family still has the kid's table too and yes my cousins and I are all still there in our 20's and 30's too. The funniest thing that I don't think anyone above has mentioned, is that we still have the kid's sized silverware. Not the baby plastic kind, but we are all still given the salad forks, dessert spoons, etc as our regular utensils. This has made a huge impact on me because even in my own house I still choose to eat with the smaller silverware!

  16. Leah- I always choose teh smaller silverware for myself, too!! Of course, everyone who reads this blog already knows I like tiny things, lol.

    :)

  17. Heh, we never had a kids' table, I guess not enough kids when I was a child to justify one. I did have my own tiny silverware too, and a special plate where there was a drawing at the bottom and I could say I was done with my food once you could see the whole drawing.

  19. What a sweet picture! Oh yes, the kids table... there were so many of us grandchildren on my mom's side of the family that we had multiple kids' tables -- one year I remember we had to eat in the laundry room! Haha.
