People are good

This is more than just one of my regular "the mailman was good to me today" posts. I've really been touched lately by the goodness of people I've met both through this blog and on Etsy. First, I won a giveaway from molto di moda designs. I was shocked to open the box and find all of these wonderful, handmade bath and body products:

Lisa was beyond gracious to send all of this to me. I haven't tried everything yet, but so far my favorite is the honey lemon lip gloss. The oatmeal/milk face wash is great, as well. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Lisa!

Next, I bought a VERY cool set of vintage bath towels from SimplyStephy, which you can see in the photo below. I have a thing for vintage towels and these ones are great! I'm especially in awe of her kindness because she sent along a book she thought I would enjoy - a 1914 book about food and clothing- the original owner even had a favorite recipe taped inside the front cover. I am so thankful for this, and, you were right, Stephy, I love it!

She also thought I'd get a kick out of the ad shown below and included it in my package- I just love how you could write to Sears and buy a monkey or toucan! Zoom in for a closer look (sorry, it's a little blurry!). Thank you, Stephy!

Last but not least, today I received a few soap samples from the equally gracious Misty from Burnt Mill . Aren't they pretty?:

Misty, thank you so much for doing this! I wish all of you could smell these- my very favorite is Forbidden Fruit- it smells exactly like a glass of fruit punch!! I love it!
